our background

The world is seeking for God. The Eastside of Seattle needs the church to engage the increasingly diverse cultures that are moving here.

Bellevue became Washington’s largest majority-minority city in 2017, which is 28 years ahead of the national trend for major U.S. cities.

Bellevue Population Growth

39% of the population is foreign born from over 90 different countries. In fact, many arrive from countries where they did not have access to the gospel and are open to explore a faith in God.

Yet only 10% of churches in the U.S. are reaching foreign-born residents, and of the churches that do, only a small fraction of the congregation is engaged.

As our city welcomes the world, our foreign-born neighbors face unique needs that Anthem Church is well-positioned to meet.
